The Central Texas Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (CTPYO) is open to student members grades 7 - 12.  Membership in the CTPYO is for one full season. The season runs concurrently with the academic school year.  Students are expected to participate for the entire season.

ROUND TWO AUDITIONS:

We are opening up the audition window to fill in the violin, viola and double bass sections.  

Tuition will be prorated.  Auditions must be submitted no later than 4pm on Sunday, November 10, 2024

Partial Scholarships can be available if there is financial need.

Membership and Auditions:

1. Submit a video recording of the Audition Requirements listed below within the online registration form 

2. After receiving audition results, submit tuition payment through the Central Texas Philharmonic online PayPal account, mailed check, or hand delivery by the first rehearsal.

CTPYO Music Audition Requirements:

Students will submit 1 video recording that includes the following:

• The CTPYO excerpt selections for the instrument(s) they are auditioning.

• Two scales of their choice in as many octaves as they can play.

• A 90 second excerpt of a prepared solo or etude of their choice.
